Production Report #6
CONCEPT OVERVIEW
I will be exploring the general idea of how AI has affected the landscape of professional industries. The project will involve me creating 3 AI-assisted artworks and having in-depth conversations about them with 3 individuals all from different professions and backgrounds.
I will be exploring the general idea of how AI has affected the landscape of professional industries. The project will involve me creating 3 AI-assisted artworks and having in-depth conversations about them with 3 individuals all from different professions and backgrounds.
In these upcoming weeks, I am approaching the final stages of this course long project. So far, I am still reflecting on the conversations that I’ve had with my participants. All my interactions went very well, and they provided me with diverse and dynamic insights into their professional roles and their personal opinions on AI. This week, I spent a great amount of time watching all the recordings back again and taking notes that will inform how I put this project together. While I was able to get through the bulk of the recordings, there is more to rewatch and process too. By next week, I should have that all done.
Ahead, my next major task is to figure out how to put all the information I have accumulated throughout the course into a condensed presentation format. This has been a long journey and I’ve learned so much from my research, advisors, and participants throughout this process. I have been able to come up with a few ideas as to how I’m going to build my final deliverable.
- A short video with narration would document the story of my journey of this project and what I learned from it.
- A presentation slide show that would also recount my experience with these projects and the lessons learned.
- I might consider using AI programs to assist in the creation of the first two suggestions above.
The information that I found on the internet, the AI content that I personally generated, detailed summaries from my conversations with my participants, the AI generated work that I did alongside my participants, and my personal concluding thoughts will likely be included in this presentation.
If there are any suggestions that anyone might have, feedback would greatly be appreciated!
No matter what format I use for my final deliverable, I want to be able to share my experience through story telling that is engaging for those who view it. So far, I’ve been able to find one AI program that combines presentations. I’m not 100% sure if I will use this but it might be something worth considering. The program is called ‘Tome’. It generates AI images as well as completely made slide show presentations based on prompts the users give it. Here is an example of something I created with it.
Based on what it created, I think it did a fairly good job. I can see the potential of this program to be helpful in building the foundation of my presentation and not completely doing the work for me. It remains to be seen if I decide to use this.
Along with looking at my recordings again, I have a list of resources to still go through and uncover as these remaining weeks unfold. The challenge this week was trying to fully absorb and understand what they were saying and put it into notes that I can easily describe and refer to later. Next week, I plan to take these notes and compare them with what they said based on similar topics. For example, when they talk about AI’s effects on humanity, I will show what each individual person clearly said on this topic of discussion. Stay tuned!
